༗commission request form༗

submit your request- fill out the inquiry form below with details about what you're envisioning. please include size, prefered medium, if you would like it framed, and reference images. NOTE* if you would like your piece to come framed, please give me prefered style. frames can be expensive to source, it can add anywhere from $20-$100 to base cost.

PORTRAIT REQUESTS: for the best results, i’ll need a high-quality photo to reference! ideally, it’s best to have an artist (rather than a photographer) take the photo, if possible. artists and photographers use very different lighting—painters need lighting that helps render form! i’m happy to coach you through this over FaceTime, or if you’re local, i can take the photos for you for a $50 fee. your old photos of great-grandma will do in a pinch, but for best results, artistic photos with ideal lighting produce the most stunning results:)

discuss & finalize details- i'll review your request and get in touch to further discuss prices based off of sizing, medium, reference images, and timeline.

deposit & creation- once we finalize the details, a 20% deposit is required to secure your spot. i'll then begin working on your piece.

final approval & delivery- once the piece is taking its final form i will send a final draft approval (you can suggest MINOR changes). once cleared i will send one last final preview before shipping. once the remaining balance is paid, your artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped to you.

terms & policies: a non-refundable deposit is required before i begin the piece. commissions are for personal use only unless discussed otherwise. i reserve the right to decline requests that don't align with my artistic style. no refunds once the artwork is completed.

FAQ

how do i request a custom painting?

easy! you can request by filling out the commission request form. click the "let's get started" button above.

how long does a custom piece take?

on average, oil commissions take 4-11 weeks to complete, depending on the size and complexity. oil takes some time to dry. watercolor and gouache are a bit quicker to create, turnaround time is 2-4 weeks (smaller pieces are quicker!). if you need a rush order, please let me know - rush fees may apply.

do custom pieces come framed?

my paintings are sold unframed unless otherwise requested. if you'd like a frame, i can recommend options or add one for additional cost. i always recommend that my clients take time to find their own frames. it's truly so fun to try to find them at thrift stores for a more affordable and sustainable option! i have a small collection to choose from, or i can get one custom built (this tends to be pricey though..:) )

how much is it to add extra figures or subjects to a portrait?

it depends on the complexity of the figures, and how detailed you would like them. a good rule of thumb is $75 extra per added subject (person/pet). this heavily depends on how intricate the added subject is.

can i request specific colors, styles or themes?

yes, absolutely- but within reason of course! as long as it align with my general style- but i do love to play around. we can chat about it;)

do you offer revisions?

minor adjustments can be made. if you wish, i will make a mock up before starting that you can adjust. i can also send photos when the painting is 80% complete, for minor adjustments. after completion i will not make any changes. most clients like the piece to be a surprise though!

do you ship custom pieces?

yes! shipping costs depend on size and location (i offer local pick up too though). pricing for this will be discussed in the final quote. all paintings are carefully packaged to prevent damage. larger paintings may be shipped in a reinforced box or crate.

why is custom art kinda pricey?

because art supplies ain't cheap and my time ain't either! i do my best to source material so my pieces are archival and last beyond a lifetime. i put a lot of love and hours bringing your vision to life, it takes time to cultivate magic. you're not just paying for a lil stock image; you're investing in a one-of-a-kind piece made just for you or your loved ones. and if you ask me, that's pretty dang special!
